Talking Zoo

Just another reminder that our Talking Zoo is coming up fast!!! I have most, but not all, of our firstie costume slips returned. Please turn that slip in or email me so that I know you are working on those costumes at home. Please let me know if you will be unable to come up with a costume with your child so that alternate arrangements can be made.

If you plan on helping your child get into their costume on the day of the museum or need to apply face paint to your child as part of their animal costume please plan to be at school at 12:30 to help your child. I will do what I can but it will not be able to help 24 students with face paint ;). As a reminder, if you plan to come in to help your child you will need to have a volunteer form on file in the office prior to your visit. If you have not filled one out and need one sent home please let me know!

We are busy writing our books and will be practicing and getting ready this week and next week. We can't wait to see you at our Day At The Museum!!!!

If you didn't hear already, we were able to take a Virtual Field Trip this past Friday. We were able to go on a live Safari!!! Through Safari Live, we were able to 'walk' and 'ride' along with three different tour guides as we explored South Africa, finding and learning about a variety of animals, including some of the animals our friends are researching!!! The really cool aspect of our field trip was that were were able to Skype in questions and the tour guide responded to us live, by name and answered our questions!!! It was probably one of the coolest things we have done all year!!! You can check out a few pictures below (videos will be coming...if I can get them uploaded....oh technical difficulties)!
